||
|
Dear Resident, Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a theft in Bishop’s Stortford. Shortly after 5.10pm on Wednesday 4 March, a man and a woman reportedly took items from within Tesco Express on Havers Lane without payment. When the suspects were challenged, a staff member was physically assaulted. The suspects then reportedly left on pedal cycles before returning to the shop a short time later, when a further altercation took place. PC Kevin Gibbs, from the Bishop’s Stortford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am asking anyone with information to please come forward. “Due to the time of day, I believe there may be several people who saw what happened. If you have any details, please report it.” PC Gibbs can be emailed via Kevin.Gibbs@herts.police.uk. You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting 41/20510/26. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
